What does it mean when my policy states that illness is not covered?

This insurance would cover you if you died as a result of an accident. It does not cover death from illness or natural causes.

Would I have to die in a car accident to be covered?

The cause of death would have to be due to some sort of accident such as a car accident, a fall, getting shot, etc.

Would l be covered if I had a sudden heart attack? Isn't it an accident if I didn't plan it?

No, a heart attack would be considered a result of an illness, which is not covered.

What is dismemberment coverage?

Dismemberment insurance pays a benefit if you lose a limb in an accident. Some also cover loss of sight, hearing, etc. Check your policy for the specifics of your coverage.
